Hey, I'm Jay 🇨🇦

I'm Jay, a St. Francis Xavier University alumni living in Nova Scotia, Canada. Like a lot of Canadians, I've got a few different credit cards and bank accounts scattered across different institutions. Nothing crazy, just the normal accumulation that happens when you sign up for a card with better rewards here, open a savings account with a better rate there.

But here's the thing: keeping track of it all was a mess. I'd check one app, then switch to another, then maybe pull up a spreadsheet I'd half-heartedly started. I never really knew where I stood financially. How much did I actually spend this month? Across everything? I had no idea.

So I went looking for a solution. Something that could pull everything together into one place. And you know what I found? Every app out there was built for Americans. American banks, American features, American-first everything. The Canadian options were either clunky afterthoughts or just didn't work with my banks. That didn't sit right with me.

So I decided to build it myself.

Unified - one app where Canadians can connect all their bank accounts and credit cards and finally see their full financial picture in one place. No more app-hopping. No more mental math trying to figure out your total spending.

But I didn't stop at just showing transactions. Every transaction gets automatically categorized, so you can actually see where your money is going. And if the auto-categorization isn't quite right? You can reassign it. You can even create your own custom categories that match how you actually think about your spending. Want to track “Coffee Shop Runs” separately from “Dining Out”? Go for it.

Then there's spending limits. Set a budget for each category, and actually visualize where your money is going relative to what you planned. It's the kind of clarity I always wanted but could never find.

I've been building this app solo for the past six months. Every feature, every screen, every bug fix, it's just me. I built this because I needed it, and I know other Canadians need it too.
