Short answer: No. Rocket Money is not available in Canada. Its help centre states that the app is "only available to users located within the United States and with U.S. based banks." You cannot link TD, RBC, BMO, CIBC, Scotiabank, or any other Canadian institution. The rest of this page covers what Rocket Money does and which Canadian tools cover each piece.

Is Rocket Money Available in Canada?
No, and this is not a grey area. Rocket Money's help centre article "Does Rocket Money support international banks?", last updated April 9, 2026, says two things plainly:
"Rocket Money is only available to users located within the United States and with U.S. based banks."
"Rocket Money does not support international banks at this time."
Both conditions matter. Rocket Money requires you to be in the US and to bank with a US institution. A Canadian with a cross-border US account fails the first test; an American living in Canada fails it too. The only path Rocket Money offers is a feature-request form for people who want international support in the future.
You may see Rocket Money recommended on American "best budgeting app" lists that Google shows to Canadians. Those lists are not wrong about the app; they are just not written for us. Our guide to the best budgeting apps in Canada only includes tools that connect to Canadian banks.
Why US-Only Apps Don't Work with Canadian Banks
Apps like Rocket Money do not talk to your bank directly. They use a data-connection provider (an "aggregator") that handles the login with your bank and passes back read-only balances and transactions. Which institutions appear in the app's bank search depends entirely on which countries the app has enabled with its provider. A US-only app has US institutions switched on and nothing else, so a search for "TD" returns TD's American bank, not TD Canada Trust.
That is the whole story for Canadians: no Canadian bank in the search box means no transactions, and no transactions means the subscription detection, budgets, and net worth features have nothing to work with. Even apps that do enable Canada sometimes support only a few banks, which is why Canadian sync problems are the top complaint in r/PersonalFinanceCanada app threads. If you want to understand the plumbing, our explainer on Plaid and its Canadian alternatives covers which providers actually cover Canadian institutions, and our open banking in Canada guide covers where the regulated framework stands.
What Rocket Money Does (and Costs)
Rocket Money (a Rocket Companies subsidiary) bundles six things, per its homepage:
- Subscription management. It "instantly finds and tracks your subscriptions" and, on Premium, will cancel services on your behalf.
- Bill negotiation. A concierge "will identify bills that can be lowered and negotiate on your behalf for the best rates available."
- Budgeting by category with automatic spending monitoring.
- Net worth tracking across linked assets and debts.
- Credit monitoring with a full credit report and alerts.
- Automated savings that moves small amounts into a savings account on autopilot.
Rocket Money Pricing (USD)
Rocket Money has a free tier. Premium is priced on a sliding scale you choose yourself, which Rocket Money's own pricing article (published January 19, 2026) describes as "typically ranging from $7 to $14 per month", with a 7-day free trial. The US App Store listing shows in-app purchase tiers from $2.99 to $9.99. Bill negotiation is billed separately: if a negotiation succeeds, you pay 35% to 60% of your first year's savings as a one-time fee. All figures are US dollars and were verified on August 23, 2026.
Canadian Alternatives, Feature by Feature
No single Canadian app copies Rocket Money's exact bundle, so the honest way to answer "what should I use instead" is feature by feature. Where nothing comparable exists in Canada, we say so.
Subscription Tracking
This is the feature most people searching for a Rocket Money alternative actually want, and it is well covered in Canada. Unified (our app) auto-detects recurring charges across every connected Canadian account, totals what they cost per month, and flags price increases you did not agree to. It costs $6.99 CAD per month or $69 CAD per year after a 14-day free trial, and connects to the banks on our supported banks page. The difference from Rocket Money: Unified shows you the charge and who to cancel with; it does not phone the merchant for you.
Cancelling Subscriptions for You
We have not found a Canadian budgeting app that offers Rocket Money's concierge cancellation, and we would rather tell you that than pretend. In practice, once a tracker surfaces the charge, most Canadian subscriptions cancel from an account settings page in under a minute. The hard part was always knowing the charge existed.
Bill Negotiation
No mainstream Canadian budgeting app negotiates bills. One standalone Canadian service, NotchUp Slash, says it negotiates with Rogers, Bell, Telus, Freedom, Videotron, Fido, Koodo, and Virgin Plus for a one-time $35 activation fee plus 40% of first-year savings, refunded if it cannot find at least $100 a year in savings within six months (verified August 23, 2026). We have not used it and are not affiliated with it. The free alternative is the one that works for most people: call your provider's retention line with a competitor's offer in hand.
Budgeting
Plenty of choice here. Unified does monthly and by-paycheque budgets with a Safe to Spend number; YNAB works in Canada if you want strict zero-based budgeting, though it bills in USD (see our YNAB in Canada guide). Our best budgeting app in Canada ranking compares the full field, and if you are juggling accounts at several banks, start with how to budget with multiple bank accounts.
Net Worth Tracking
Unified calculates net worth automatically from connected accounts, and we also publish a free net worth calculator that needs no sign-up. The free net worth tracker guide compares other options.
Credit Monitoring
Rocket Money's credit features use US bureaus, which are irrelevant to a Canadian file. In Canada, Borrowell offers free weekly access to your Equifax Canada score and report, and both Equifax and TransUnion let you request your own report directly. Unified does not offer credit scores.
Automated Savings
We are not aware of a Canadian budgeting app that sweeps money into savings the way Rocket Money's autopilot does, and Unified cannot move money at all; our bank connections are read-only by design (see how Unified protects your data). The Canadian equivalent is a recurring automatic transfer set up inside your own bank, which costs nothing and does not require giving an app the ability to move funds.
If you came here after Mint shut down rather than from Rocket Money specifically, our best Mint alternative for Canadians guide is the broader list.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Rocket Money available in Canada?
No. Rocket Money's own help centre, in an article updated April 9, 2026, states that Rocket Money is only available to users located within the United States and with U.S. based banks, and that it does not support international banks at this time. That rules out linking TD, RBC, BMO, CIBC, Scotiabank, or any other Canadian institution.
What is the best Rocket Money alternative in Canada?
It depends on which Rocket Money feature you wanted. For subscription tracking, spending insights, budgets, and net worth across Canadian banks, Unified is a Canadian-built option at $6.99 CAD per month or $69 CAD per year with a 14-day free trial. For strict zero-based budgeting, YNAB works in Canada but bills in US dollars. For bill negotiation, no mainstream Canadian budgeting app offers a concierge; NotchUp Slash is a standalone Canadian service that negotiates telecom bills for a fee.
Is there a Rocket Money Canada alternative that cancels subscriptions for you?
Not one we can recommend from verified sources. Canadian budgeting apps, including Unified, can detect recurring charges, total them, and flag price increases, but they do not cancel services on your behalf. In Canada you cancel directly with the merchant, which is usually a settings page or a short phone call once you know the charge exists.
How much does Rocket Money cost?
Rocket Money has a free tier, and a Premium membership priced on a sliding scale that Rocket Money's own blog describes as typically $7 to $14 USD per month, with a 7-day free trial. Its bill negotiation service charges a one-time fee of 35% to 60% of your first year's savings if a negotiation succeeds. Verified August 23, 2026.
Does Rocket Money work with Canadian banks like TD, RBC, or Scotiabank?
No. Rocket Money's help centre says it supports U.S. based banks only and does not support international banks, so Canadian institutions are not available in its account-linking flow.
Can Canadians use Rocket Money with a US bank account?
Rocket Money's stated requirement is two-part: users must be located within the United States and bank with a U.S. based institution. A Canadian resident with a US account does not meet the first condition according to that statement, so we would not rely on it working.
